3 Things to know about Mareshah Sowah

Brief Introduction

Mareshah joined DGNN in 2020 as a Duke University School of Medicine Master of Biomedical Science student. She is currently a medical student at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Greenville.

Here are Fun things you need to know about Mareshah Sowah:

1. Mareshah was born in London, England and raised in Accra, Ghana. She immigrated to the U.S. from Ghana at age 6, but goes back and forth yearly. Due to her close ties back in Ghana, she is especially passionate about global health equity and “bridging the gap”.
2. Mareshah is primarily interested in pursuing a career in neurosurgery or surgical oncology. She is currently interested in neurooncology and frontal lobe strokes.
3. Mareshah grew up playing five instruments, her favorite being the viola which she has played for about 15 years. She also ran Division 1 track in college and her event was triple jump.
