Di (Daniel) is the Lead Statistician for DGNN. He studied physics and statistics at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. In 2021, he finished his Master’s in Statistical Science at Duke University. Since joining DGNN in 2022, he has been working on various neurosurgery-related studies involving impact of COVID-19 on global neurosurgery collaboration, assessment of neurosurgery capacity in LMICs, distribution of certain neurosurgical disease and subsequent policy, etc. He is also the lead of processing and demonstrating results from SAP (Surgical Autonomy Program). SAP is “a platform to assess competency, provide feedback and visualize progress for surgical trainees in the OR setting.” Trainees can also evaluate faculties’ teaching in several aspects.
